Get your social media visuals right – Case Study

We are constantly advising our clients to think about their visuals before posting on social media. Visuals can make a huge difference as to whether people engage with you or not. And let’s be honest, engagement on social media is the first step to achieving return on investment.

Just before Christmas we were delighted to start work with someone who is arguably one of Britain’s most televised close up magicians, Sean Heydon. Our task is to promote his company’s wedding services to the UK. We were not bound by location, however as with every client we will work with, we were bound by budget.

We love working with very visual businesses. The talent within Sean’s team is baffling. I have seen some a few of his tricks and even I am not sure how it is done. The idea was to visualise what he could do for your wedding. What better way than a video.

Visuals can make a whole heap of difference, and this was proven by our first ad campaign on Facebook. Sean was very keen to kick start the project immediately so with the video still in the production phase it was decided that we start with an image based ad. The right image can grab people, and it did. Over 12000 people engaged with our ad, however with the end goal resulting in the download of an information pack, downloads were disappointing.

With the video complete and Christmas out of the way, we were able to properly show the world what Sean and his team can do. And the response was exceptional. With the same ad text we achieved a reach of over 250,000 people, and engagement of over 120,000 people. Downloads of his information pack increased drastically, and bookings started to flow through.  This simple change made a whole heap of difference.

So visuals really can make a whole heap of difference. Get them right and you could be laughing!
