Boosting your Linkedin profile - Northampton marketing agency onefoursix

What’s the best way to build your LinkedIn company profile?

LinkedIn is THE biggest and most active professional networking platform in the world, with more than 19 million company pages set up, according to LinkedIn itself, trying to gain the attention of over 610 million users.

99firms.com also suggests that there are 9.90 million senior-level influencers and 63 million decision makers using LinkedIn. That’s a lot of business you don’t want to miss out on. So, what is the best way to build your LinkedIn company profile? And how can you make it stand out from the crowd?

Share with newbies

Have you personally connected with someone new? Why not send them a quick ‘hello’ and a link to your company page? They’ll like that you’ve taken the time to reach out and give them some more information about your company.

You could also tag any new connections you have in new posts. It will show them how great you are at customer service and it may even strike up questions and conversations. Conversation nearly always leads to sales!

Share information

Write blogs, schedule social media or send e-shots but don’t forget to share them with your LinkedIn audience. 99firms.com also suggest that 97 per cent of B2B marketers use LinkedIn as a content distribution channel. With this in mind, it must be a successful platform if this many marketeers are using it to share their information to their network. Ensure that when you do schedule content, it looks right – some scheduled content lacks personality and can turn people away from engaging.

Like and comment

As mentioned above, striking up a conversation with your customers via their posts will only make them more interested in you. If you show your interest in them, they’re likely to want to build a relationship with you and grow their business too.

Within the posts, subtly mention your company name or give advice and this should generate more interest in what you’re doing. Get your name noticed by engaging and sharing photos and videos of yourself – it pays to sell yourself as well as the business.

Tag connections

Have you had a conversation with someone at a networking event or know a client is interested in something you’ve seen on LinkedIn? Don’t be shy, tag them or mention them in the post so that they can see you’ve remembered what they’ve said. This is a great way to build your network as it’s simple and free.

Don’t over tag though because this can sometimes be seen as spamming and LinkedIn is very strict on its rules and regulations towards too much tagging – the last thing you want is to be banned and lose.
