Why is an SSL important

Why is an SSL important?

Having an SSL on your website keeps your website secure, and aids SEO. Google announced that in October 2017, they will be penalising websites that do not have an SSL. If you are unsure what an SSL is, or would like one installed, watch the video and give us a call.

You will have noticed the padlock in the left hand corner of some websites. When this appears, this shows that the website you are viewing is encrypted and protected by an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Although SSL certificates were primarily used on ecommerce websites, they can add a much needed boost to your SEO (where you appear on Google). Google is hotter than ever on site security, and with this in mind, their announcement in October 2017 mean that an SSL certificate is an essential part of your web build.

We are currently offering free SSL’s with our web hosting. Click here to claim.
