Last Thursday (15th December) we signed off a year of Lunch and Learn with our very festive Christmas event. Held at the soon to be opened Dapper House, the event saw 20 local business owners and marketeers come together to network and share some festive cheer.
For those who don’t know, we came up with our Lunch and Learn concept at the tail end of 2015 with the aim of launching it mid January 2016. The events have seen business owners come together at our offices in Northampton each month to learn more about how they can better market their businesses.
Topics have included ‘Planning and Creating Social Media Content’, ‘Getting the Most from your Website’, and ‘The Things you COULD be doing on LinkedIn’.
At the end of each session we would share the news that all of the ticket sales for the Lunch and Learn events (not just profits) would be donated at the end of the year to local charity Alfes Cause.
With that in mind, we are delighted to confirm (as you will no doubt notice from the picture) that we were able to donate £1000 to Karen from Alfes Cause. Karen stood up for the first time at our event last Thursday to discuss how the money would be spent.
“The money raised by the Lunch and Learn sessions will go towards a Legoland trip we are planning for the families in 2017 and will really make such a difference.”
We would like to thank each and every business for supporting our Lunch and Learn sessions over the past year, including Sarah from Dapper House who helped us put on a fantastic Christmas Lunch and Learn, Sean Heydon (magician) who donated his time to entertain our networkers at this festive event, and Matt from Beer Guerrilla who supplied the drinks.
Lunch and Learn will return next year with new dates. We are pleased to announce that it will also be moving to Dapper House permanently.
