Do you use Facebook Ad Library?

The Facebook Ad Library essentially allows you to analyse and monitor your competitors Facebook ads. It’s also a great tool for getting inspiration for your next Facebook ad.

Let’s take a look into the Facebook Ad Library to find out how you can gain inspiration for creative and effective ads, whilst gathering research on what your competitors are doing. We’ll also share some tips on how to get successful Facebook ad results, and provide you with some key pointers and “take homes” that you can apply yourself.

Facebook has a huge potential due to its massive audience of almost 2 billion users on its platforms. That’s nearly 1 in every 3 people over the age of 13 in the world. Lots of people still click on Facebook ads all the time, and the competition is strong for who gets those clicks.

Find out how other Facebook pages are advertising…

Facebook image ads

Facebook image ads are probably the most common type of ad that you will see. They are often used to reinforce the text in the ad and call-to-action. Vibrant imagery can be really effective to use within your Facebook ads. One way you can test images before using them within your ads is by posting them organically and seeing how they perform.

Facebook video ads

Another form is to use videos in your Facebook ads. These can perform particularly well on Facebook and Instagram. It is recommended to create videos with no sound, or to turn the sound off. Data shows that as much as 85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound, so it’s really important in your video advertising to get the point across through visuals alone.

Another thing to consider is whether it’s more appropriate for you to use square video or landscape video. This is particularly important when you consider the viewing experience across mobile and desktop.

Facebook carousel ads

Carousel ads can be a fantastic way to tell a story. It provides you with the opportunity to visually tie in a set of images together. With carousel ads, you can apply many of the same techniques as with image ads – use images that relate to the text of the ad.

Facebook ad copywriting

Facebook Ad Library allows you to find some great inspiration for copywriting. You can take a look at other ads’ call-to-actions, whether it’s to an event, website or Facebook page. Always remember to social proof your ad copy, as there is nothing worse than seeing spelling mistakes within an ad. The best calls-to-action are the ones that take you to a page that matches the text in the call-to-action itself. It helps to create a sense of continuity for the customer.
